This book provides general educational and organisational material. It does not constitute individual legal, medical, financial, safeguarding, mediation, mental-health or other professional advice. Family circumstances, laws, professional duties, emergency routes and safeguarding procedures vary by jurisdiction and change over time. Readers should verify current local information and seek appropriately qualified help when a decision could create significant personal, legal, financial, medical or safety consequences.

Read Chapters 1 to 3 before comparing properties or making promises. They define what the home means, what decision is actually live and whose roles must be distinguished. It is not a test of the resident and does not replace professional assessment. If a tool reveals an unresolved legal, clinical, structural, financial or safeguarding question, its job is to route that question outward.
